Happy Box is one of North America's leading Fil-Am concert promoters. The Los Angeles-based concert production/promotion company specializes in "importing" top Philippine bands and artists as well as top celebrities and TV shows, to the US and Canada. Established in October 1997 by the De Guzman brothers, Haro & LeVan (aka "schizo"), Happy Box is responsible for bringing the likes of the Eraserheads, Parokya Ni Edgar, Ely Buendia, FrancisM, Rivermaya, Bamboo, Bamboo (band), Kamikazee, Gloc-9, Kitchie Nadal, Dong Abay, The Youth, The Mocha Girls, JoWaPao, AlDub, Rico Blanco, Urbandub, Ex Battalion, Shanti Dope & more...as well as "Eat Bulaga!", the Philippines' longest-running noontime variety show. Aside from the US and Canada being its major markets, Happy Box, in partnership with local promoters, has done shows in Singapore, New Zealand and the Philippines. One notable show was of British band, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, in March 2012. This was the first time (and hopefully not the last) Happy Box has booked an established "international" artist and promoted a major show in Manila. Happy Box is also very active in curating the forever-thriving "lokalpinoy" (local Filipino-American alternative/rock scene) in Los Angeles and surrounding areas. Happy Box is a company registered in California, currently with Registration # 2016293382. |
